Thank you for this. For so eloquently expressing what I’ve felt.

I’ve wanted to shake fat shamers and tell them that simply stating “Health at Every Size is bullshit,” does not make it so. The lady doth protest too much, and most often blanket statements against HAES are laden with defensiveness and rhetorical fallacy, junk science and quotes from Jillian Michaels about pain being weakness leaving your body or some such bullshit.

The converse is true as well, but I find that as fat shaming becomes more of a conversation and less of a lecture, as people speak out against a culture that deems them visually unworthy, there are a din of educated, informed and eloquent voices such as yours drowning out the junk science and discrimination.
